Medical Staffing

MHS recruits physicians and nurses from the USA, Canada, British Isles, and Scandinavia to work aboard cruise ships. Over the years we've developed an extensive database of seasoned medical professionals who are comfortable and competent working aboard cruise ships.

Our staff go through a rigorous screening procedure before they are accepted. We check their education, their licensure, their specialty certification, their English proficiency, and interview each one to make sure they're suitable for the job. We take only those with a broad medical background that has prepared them for the kind of clinical encounters they are likely to have on a cruise ship. All must be trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support or its equivalent so that we know they are capable of handling cardiac emergencies.

And it doesn't stop there. Before any of our staff even reach the ship they will have gone through our mandatory orientation program of audiotapes, videotapes, and reading assignments. This program prepares them and trains them for their position in the cruise ship medical department, assuring that when they come aboard they hit the deck running. We think they're the best.
